FFA Conference Scholarships

The FFA Conference Scholarship program is designed to provide members financial assistance for FFA Conferences. The Santa Barbara County Farm Bureau (SBCFB) will award conference scholarships each year for Made For Excellence (MFE), Advanced Leadership Academy (ALA), Sacramento Leadership Experience, the California State FFA Leadership Conference, California State Delegate to the National FFA Convention and National FFA's Washington Leadership Academy, and the National FFA Convention. This financial assistance would also be available to the Sectional FFA Officers and one Advisor at a registration fee of $50.00 each to attend the Sectional Officer Leadership Conference. No application will be submitted for this activity. It will be an annual cost of $500.00 to the SBCFB.

The minimum eligibility requirements for all scholarships are as follows:

 

  1. Applicant must be a member, in good standing, with his/her FFA chapter

  2. For the MFE, ALA and State FFA Conferences, the number of applications a chapter can submit cannot exceed 2% of their previous year’s attendance. See Appendix 1. This number will be adjusted every two years.

  3. For the State FFA conference, a chapter may not submit more than five applications.

  4. All applications submitted will be with the Chapter Advisor approval only.

  5. If the FFA member received a SBCFB conference scholarship for a specific conference that he/she has already attended, they are not eligible to apply.


The application MUST be submitted on or before the dates identified below for a specific conference.
