On Thursday, September 09, 2010, I learned of the theft of 15 tons (yes tons) of fertilizer from Ventura County. The theft occurred between Thursday, 09-02-10, and Friday, 09-03-10.
Multi-cote Strawberry Mix 22-8-13, in 280 bags, plus 42 rolls of plastic were stolen from a farm in Ventura Co. The loss of fertilizer is approximately $18,500., and the loss of the plastic is approximately $7300.00.
From the victim, he had heard the fertilizer and plastic moved up to here in the Santa Maria Valley, and is a regular occurrence.
Please keep an eye out for vehicles transporting large amounts of fertilizers, chemicals etc. and at the minimum, FI the occupants and forward to me.
